Kid Cudi Leaves Stage Mid Show While Kanye Makes Surprise Appearance After Dropping Out

Despite dropping off the lineup less than a week earlier, Kid Cudi left the stage mid-set Friday in Miami after being bombarded by items thrown by audience members. Kanye West also appeared during Lil Durk’s performance despite being dropped from the lineup for Kid Cudi.

During the performance, Cudi was allegedly hit in the face with what appeared to be a water bottle. Later in the video, the rapper threatens to cut short his set due to the audience’s behavior. “I will fucking leave. If I get hit with one more fucking thing. If I see one more thing fucking thing on this fucking stage, I’m leaving,” he yells. “Don’t fuck with me.” After throwing a water bottle at Cudi, audience members began chanting West’s name, prompting the rapper to walk offstage. (One of the individuals who threw the last water bottle later bragged about it on Twitter.)

Kid Cudi Replaced Kanye:

Due to West’s withdrawal from the festival, Cudi was chosen to replace him. The festival’s organizers were under pressure from fans to replace West with Travis Scott, leading to a bizarre incident in which a co-founder falsely claimed the event’s venue prohibited Scott from performing due to his association with the deadly crowd surge at his Astroworld festival last year.

While wearing a full face mask, West made a surprise appearance onstage with Lil Durk during the festival. The ‘Life of Pablo’ track ‘Father Stretch My Hands’ was performed by West. The song contains vocals by Cudi, as fans noted.

After Kanye criticized Kid Cudi’s friendship with Pete Davidson in February, the two rappers had a public fallot.
